Nursing Manager
This position oversees the nursing staff at Ilanka Community Health Center. This position requires a thorough understanding of clinical practices, QI/QA, and compliance requirements. Leadership, initiative, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors or higher in healthcare related field preferred. Minimum three years supervisory experience in a clinical setting. Experience with healthcare information system, such as electronic health record.
Licenses and Certification:
Current Alaska Registered Nurse license. BLS or CPR Pro Certification required, ACLS and PALS recommended. Current Alaska Drivers’ License recommended.

Accounting Technician (2 positions)
This position is an accounting team member responsible for processing payroll and all aspects of accounts receivable and accounts payable.

This part-time or full-time position is part of the Behavioral Health Team and works to provide compassionate, client-centered, and evidence-based care.
Education and Experience:
Master of Science/Arts in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or any acceptable related field, from an accredited organization, is required. School Diploma or equivalent required.
Holds a current license as a Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or similar license, or be working towards gaining licensure within 3 years.

The diagnostic medical sonographer balances patient interaction and technological performance with a firm knowledge of anatomy and pathology while working cohesively with Ilanka’s healthcare team.
This position establishes methods and procedures for attaining specific goals and objectives and receives guidance in terms of broad goals. Only the final results of work are typically reviewed.

Fisheries Biologist I (Seasonal)
This is a mid-level fisheries biologist position within the Native Village of Eyak Tribal Government’s Department of the Environment and Natural Resources, working on established fisheries projects in a remote wilderness setting. This position supports principal investigators in successfully conducting salmon research and population monitoring used for state and federal fisheries management. The majority of work will be conducted outdoors while stationed at remote field sites in the Copper River watershed and Prince William Sound. Travel, fieldwork, and off-grid living are required. The Biologist will supervise the collection of scientific data following established protocols, lead a field crew of up to four fisheries technicians, communicate daily with offsite project management, ensure site safety and remote communication protocols are adhered to, and assist project management in assessing data quality and data sharing. 2024 fisheries projects include estimating the in-river abundance of Copper River Chinook salmon, system-wide distribution and run timing of Copper River Sockeye salmon, Klutina River salmon sonar project, and Eshamy Creek salmon weir. Recruitment for all field sites occurs through this announcement. Multiple positions are available with schedules dependent upon site assignment: late April-July, June-August, and July-August. Food and lodging are provided during training and fieldwork.
Experience Required:
Minimum two years’ experience with remote field research, hands-on sampling, and rigorous scientific data collection. Must have boat operation proficiency. Must have experience supervising subordinate technicians or extensive remote field work experience that clearly demonstrates progression of skills required to lead a remote field site.

This is a senior technician position within the Native Village of Eyak’s Department of the Environment and Natural Resources working in established programs both in the field and office. This position supports Biologists in successfully conducting research in fisheries and wildlife, and may also be utilized in environmental programs. Supervision of subordinate technicians will be required, as will regular travel, and frequent fieldwork in remote areas.
Experience Requirement:
Minimum three years experience working in the biological sciences with at least one year experience as DENR Technician II with NVE. Minimum 3 months experience working at remote research sites.
